My Lego sets
Below are most of the Lego sets I have accumulated over the years.
Because of my vision, I have been more responsive to the 2x4 bricks for building rather than the sets which have very small pieces. Even so, I have some sets and recently have been getting into Technic building.
As I now look back on this page I have realized that I suddenly have a LOT of sets. If I combine these with my own MOCs, I now have a wide variety of vehicles for my town. You may notice the absence of decals on the sets pictured below. This is mostly intentional so that I can use items for different purposes than the original set designated. While I will continue to add my new sets to this page, I now have a page showing layout for my town on the Militleton page.
Lego 31058 Mighty Dino
The dinosaur was the reason I got this 3in1 set. I like the model and that it has so many movable segments for positioning. The rib cage is a nice touch, even a Dino has to eat sometime.
Lego 31060 Airshow Aces
Although of a small scale, I really like the jet, plane, and truck. They are a good design. The windsock is a nice compliment to the set.
Lego 31062 Robo Explorer
This model reminded me of #5 from
Short Circuitso I had to get it. There are many differences but enough likeness to make the comparison.
I rather like the design. There are lots of moveable parts and it really rolls. Really like the clamp type of
hand, which can actually grab and hold stuff. Overall a very nice set, but I would have centered the wheel at the front.
In the photo, I have modified the set just a bit. I made a plutonium rock (using pieces from the set plus a 1x1 with four knobs) for the robot to carry. Also added a receiver unit so it could accept remote orders (this is mounted on top of its head in the photo).
Lego 60163 Coast Guard
The shark and the big surfboard drew me to this set, although I like the buggy too.
Lego 41118 Supermarket
This set has accessories which I wanted. The store layout is pretty good for its purpose and has a lot of items for the size of the model.
The little shopping cart is a proper size for the minifigs.
Lego 42065 RC Tracked Racer
I am more of a train type of person than an RC car driver. But when I saw people playing with one I decided to get it even though it is a bit pricey.
In true RC car fashion, this vehicle turns and can reverse. The remote control included works well, although I had a bit more success in steering with the other style of remote.
I was able to get the vehicle up a constant 30° slope for a distance of almost three feet from the floor to the couch. That required using a towel for traction as without good traction it did not even climb a 15° slope well.
The battery box is most of the weight of the vehicle (using 6 AA batteries). With this weight low and centered in the vehicle, it does a good job climbing and turning smoothly.
Lets just say I am impressed. And the battery box has easy access for replacing the batteries without taking apart the car.
Lego 70902 Catcycle Chase
One of the library events has a Super Hero theme and I only had a Batman and Superman minifig. So this set added to my collection without giving me duplicates.
It is a nice little set too. The style of the Catcycle is interesting.
Lego 41301 Puppy Parade
The car styled as a dog attracted me to this set. Although the set comes with only one dog, dogs from other sets can be put in the car simply by changing the flat tile pieces to tiles with the single post.
Lego 40251 Little Piggy Bank
This set is a smaller version of the other Lego piggy bank. But still no bottom coin removal access, though the top is designed for easier removal.
Lego 60153 Fun At The Beach
Like the Fun At The Park set, this has several minifigs and accessories. I like the set and happy it includes a dolphin.
I am a little bit disappointed in the hammock though.
Lego 60154 Bus Station
Like most Lego people transport sets, the bus is NOT wide enough to allow real life people movement through it. However, I like the layout of the bus.
The ramp at the bus stop is a good height for loading the wheelchair.
Lego 60169 Cargo Terminal
I like this little set. It has four cargo boxes each with a pallet of something. The truck is great and holds all four boxes. The storage bays hold four pallets.
Unlike the Service Truck set, the crane IS high enough to lift the boxes off the truck. And the forklift is high enough to reach the upper bays.
Lego 40174 Chess
The Lego Chess board doubles as a checkers game. I like the size of the chess pieces as well as the detail. There is a touch of color in both the pieces and the board above the normal chess set being solid color.
The fact that the board has room for the pieces and the whole model is modular (splits in half for storage) is a great bonus.
Lego 76082 ATM Heist
It has SpiderMan and an ATM building.
Lego 41311 Pizzeria
The delivery vehicle was the attraction to this set. It has a compartment for the pizzas which the delivery scooter (in the Pizza Van set) does not have.
The Pizzeria itself has good layout and items. Love the oven and fact of included dinnerware accessory items. The set reminds me of when I worked at Dominoes.
Lego 40265 Tic Tac Toe
This promottional set is a nice set AND game. Love the fact they used animals as game pieces instead of just X and O.
Lego 60097 City Square
Looked at this set many times before purchase as I was unsure of the usefullness in my collection. Was also not sure about the tram. But I am happy I got it.
Love the Lego store and truck. The tram is good too. The auto dealership and service area are cool except that the mechanic cannot stand under the raised lift (should be just a bit higher). But the lift itself is good. The working tow truck is a nice inclusion as are the cars in the well designed showroom.
The "Coffee Chain" is cool as well as the tram station which has a really good tree. All in all I am pleased with the set.
Lego 40252 VW Beetle
This Volkswagon beetle is the smaller version of the larger model. The detail is nice and brings back memories.
This set was free with qualified purchase.
Lego 31055 Red Racer
3 in 1 set
Bought this so I could build a different car from the parts. But it is a nice vehicle as it is.
Lego 60146 Stunt Truck
Like the layout of the truck and the fact it has simulated shocks.
Lego 60143 Auto Transport
A total of four vehicles makes this a nice set. I like the fact that the transporter top section folds down to allow the loading of a vehicle.
I still do not like the fact of so many vehicles being designated as POLICE vehicles when they do not have to be. Wish Lego would develop some company (such as their Octan) for non police naming system.
Lego 60119 Ferry
The ferry will hold a few small cars. I like the design and the way the sides were done.
I think adding a ladder to get to the room would have been a nice touch though.
Lego 60107 Fire Truck
This fire truck is smaller than the one which comes with the fire station, but it is still effective.
The side compartments are good. The sliding ladder system works and the ladder part can be removed for use on its own. The only thing I do not like about it is there is no basket or holder for the minifig at the top of the ladder.
Lego 60149 4x4 with Catamaran
Was a bit surprised to find a plastic sail piece on this set. I guess it makes sense but its not traditional Lego elements in my opinion. It is still nice, just not what I had expected.
Overall it is a nice little set. For mine I plan to make the trailer a large plate bed so the Catamaran does not have to be balanced on the arms of the current trailer.
Lego 60144 Race Plane
It is a nice little propeller plane that reminds me of the Red Baron and Snoopy battles from way back.
Lego 30351 Copter
The baby brother of the real police helicopter. While small, it still does the job and will serve me as a traffic patrol heli-copter.
Lego 30400 Gymnastic Bar
Friends can exercise on this bar. I love the boombox too.
Lego 21033 Chicago
This is a small set but has large character. I like the city AND the set does it justice.
I also love the fact that the book has much information about the city also. This is a very nice touch.
Lego 41309 Musical Duet
I bought this for the parrot. However, I also like the guitar and the stage that rotates.
Lego 41308 Friendship Cakes
Bought this for the bunny but I like the accessories too!
Lego 41306 Beach Scooter
The dog and the scooter attracted me to this set. Since it has surf boards, there is a good chance I will have create a MOC with the dog and parrot surfing.
Lego 41314 Stephanies House
This is a pretty nice set with several features I like.
The porch swing is great as well as the bay windows. I appreciate that it has a complete cookware set to go with a nice kitchen and dining table. The vacumm cleaner is nice but a bit too big for the minifigs.
While I like the stairs, it seems they would be better placed with the top at the MIDDLE of the upstairs with a plate to access both rooms. This could be done easily just by moving that structure to the left side, which I will do for my set.

Lego 41313 Swimming Pool
I got this because I wanted to experiment with the slide elements. However, I also love the aquarium setup. It also has other nice features like the raft and ring floats and diving board that really springs.
Notice the statistics on the newspaper though. For August 7th, a high temperature of 32 degrees hardly seems like swimming weather .... until you realize it is Celsius.
Lego 40237 Easter Egg Hunt
The three structures in front are part of this set as it was intended. Although it is a small set, I feel it has a lot of good things in it and is very worthwhile at the reasonable price.
I like the eggs and the creative hiding places. I like the fact that a chicken is included as well as a basket and magnifier that really does work.
The larger structure behind is built using parts from this set. It is my version of an egg inspection area. Eggs are brought in by the wheelbarrow and placed onto the conveyor belt, As they move along they are CLOSELY inspected for defects. Any bad eggs are removed while the rest go into the box. I just HAD to use the chicken and magnifier somehow! Notice that the chicken IS magnified behind the magnifier!
Lego 60151 Dragster Transporter
I mainly bought this for the flatbed truck but the dragster also adds to my vehicle collection.
The flatbed truck shown here is slightly modified from the original version as I intend to use it as a general purpose flatbed and not just for the dragster.
Lego 60148 ATV Race Team
This was purely an impulse buy as I did not even know it existed. The two racers are cute and I plan to use the pickup and trailer as general purpose pickup and trailer rather than just for these racers.
Lego 60137 Tow Truck Trouble
For the price this is a nice little set. I really like the design of the safe. The fact that you get a tow truck and TWO motorcycles is an added bonus.
Having recently acquired the Money Transporter, I figured if I build a bank it will need a safe. Also with all of the vehicles I have now you gotta figure eventually someone will need a tow.
I am just not sure I really need more police for my town as I hoped the crime rate would be low. But with this set I now have eight police vehicles!
Lego 60142 Money Transport
I wanted an armored car and this comes pretty close. I like some things about this set. The fact that it has jewels, money, and gold is a plus. Love the compartments on the sides and the flip open rear door.
Dislike the fact that the driver compartment has no windows AND no divider between it and the money cabin. A truly secure money transport would have BOTH. But then this also has an intentional roof trap door which a real secure vehicle would not.
Yes I KNOW its pretend stuff, but just a few bricks would have made it a lot more as a secure vehicle. Still it is a nice set.
Lego 31054 Blue Express
This is a tiny but cool 3-in-1 train set. Shown here are two builds, one (of the two) engine versions and the middle car.
I bought 2 sets but will probably get another. I think instead of building the other style of engine I will make a caboose.
Lego 41134 Performance School
Mostly got this for the school bus but some other aspects are good too. I like the basketball net setup and most of the accessories. I really like the piano and drum set.
The building looks good from the front except I am not sure there should be windows looking into the bathroom.
The bus is of good design for a small vehicle. I wish they had at least simulated a door (front window could have clear bricks below it).

Lego 10726 Horse Carriage
When I saw the horse carriage set I just had to have it. In fact, I got two.
Lego 60150 Pizza Van
I was more impressed with this set than I thought I would be. The interior has some nice details. And it includes a delivery scooter, which is nice but I would have thought a basket on the back would be a better way to carry the pizza boxes.
The sides of the van flip up which is a nice touch. I like the little table too.
Lego 31051 Lighthouse Point
Was not sure but it turns out that I like this set. Here is one of the layouts which can be created. I used this layout as the lighthouse is tallest and also is part of the house.
Here I added four column pieces (not included with the set) to make the left over (due to layout choice) segments into a covered fish pond.
Lego 60076 Demolition Site
I bought this set for the three construction vehicles. They are small but I like the functionality of them. Initially I did not care for the building as it seems wrong to depict destroying anything Lego.
However, I did build the building (for the picture to post on this website) and think there are some good imagination there. The collapsing walls are cool and I like the fact they include a rat and some dynamite.
Lego 30314 Car/signal
A little car and traffic signal. I modified the traffic light by making three sides have a red and green
lightas is more appropriate at an intersection.
Lego Nov 2016 Pick-a-Model Penguin
The penguins are cute. Shown here in an artic environment floating on iceburgs near a frozen waterfall off a glacier.
Lego 60073 Service Truck
The service truck is good in that it has some items for a construction crew. The crane is NOT QUITE long enough to actually lift the portable toilet off the trailer, the hook barely reaches the hole.
I plan to add a section to the crane to resolve this as well as build other items which would go with this set that would fit on the trailer: such as a telephone booth (outdated, but superman might need it for changing), and parking meters.
Like the baracades so will obtain a few more and also some other styles.
Lego 60050 Train Station
The train station is nice with a lot of good details. Like the fact that the platform has space for the people to move around on.
Personally think that the room with the Lego store should be a ticket counter instead. Could use the same setup with different stickers.
As one who waits for trains and busses, I would think the canopy which goes over the track should instead be turned to cover more of the platform to shield the people from weather events. Like the canopy, just not the positioning.
Lego 40155 Piggy Bank
Piggy bank is nice but has no opening for coin release (aside from taking it apart). My version will have a hinged tail section for inside access.
Lego 60085 Powerboat
I like this set. Boat really floats too. The only drawback for me is the trailer is designed for to hold the boat so I will be doing my own utility flatbed truck someday.
Lego 60117 Van and Caravan
While I already had a camper, this is a nice compliment to it. Caravan opens up and van can go without it. Nice set.
Lego 31046 Fast Car
Shown here is the bulldozer build. I modified the bucket slightly to allow it to actually hold something unlike the original which does not have useful capacity.

Lego 71209 Wonder Woman
Shown together as they are related. I am not very impressed with the structure with the 76044 set. But I bought that for the minifigures which I like.
Although I do not have interest in the Dimensions game, I do like both the Wonder Woman minifigure and her jet (although not truly invisible as not all parts are transparent).
These three minifigures may come in handy for some of my MOCs.

Fun In The Park
This turns out to be a very welcome addition to my collection. Besides the variety of minifigures, I like the fact of useful accessories.
Lego London bus
It is a nice depiction of a double decker bus.
Lego Garbage truck
I thought this would come in handy for city services. I like the fact that it works like the real ones.
Lego Airport VIP
The detail is good on both the plane and the limo.
Lego Tour Bus
I like the bigger than usual model size and the fact that it expands.
Lego Plane
Nice detail on the plane.
Lego Knight
Seems to be a promotional set related to the Knights theme.
Lego Cherry Picker
Good but not enough height for the basket to be useful for any job. See my MOC page for a more useful version.
Lego Helicopter Pursuit

Although I did not need yet another helicopter, I like this set.
Lego Quad Bike
Has a pull back motor that works well.
Lego Fountain
The fountain is nice and the other parts of the park are a good compliment to it.
Lego Fire Station
I like the fire engine and the garages for the two vehicles although it is a VERY tight fit for the fire engine.
The actual station lacks detail normally associated with these sets but I like the pole for the fireman to go down.
Lego Hot Air Balloon
My mother liked hot air balloons so I had to get this. It is a good set.
Lego Police Chase
Small set but it does the job.
Lego Camper
The camper reminds me of many outings. The sides open up for access.
