Went to the Brickworld expo in Schaumburg Illinois on June 18, 2016. If you are into Legos at all you really should go to one of these events. Here are some pictures I took.
Sadly not all of the pictures were good and thus many tags which identified the displayer were not readable. I think I ended up with 51 valid out of 87 taken. So if you know of the people responsible for any of these displays PLEASE LET ME KNOW as I could not remember the names without the tags and I like to give credit to originators whenever possible.
There is a LOT OF AWESOME TALENT OUT THERE and I want to extend a great deal of appreciation to those who not only possess that talent but are willing to share their creations with the public to view! OUTSTANDING JOB does not even cover it.
Trains were a popular theme there as were city, water, or castle setups. Many booths had a variety of vehicles or themed settings. There were many different approaches to create buildings or vehicles, which gave each display a unique look.
I did not browse the sales booths due to time limits for myself, but was told you could purchase kits and speciality parts there.
Note that because my cell phone insists on rotating everything I do not want it to when transported to my computer, many of these are sideways or upside down (but strangely not all of them). I can rotate these through the CSS transform option, but that seems to mess with the size or placement. I am working to deal with this problem.
Also note that clicking the picture should pull up a full size version (the original) in a new window of your browser. That will give you a better view on a desktop monitor over the small screen mobile devices this page accomodates.
