Lego Christmas/Holiday

Below are my Lego sets which are related to Christmas or other holidays.

They are grouped by event but otherwise in no particular order.

Those which are actual Lego sets have the set number in the heading and the description will likely indicate if it is a set or a MOC.





Birthday

Birthday cake which has a figure pop up out of the cake. Has enough extra pieces to create any two digit number for the age.




Easter

Fill the basket with the eggs found during the hunt. This basket is styled as a wicker basket.

Terrys Lego Haunted Graveyard

This somewhat less than scary graveyard was an impulse build. It looks a bit more spooky with a black light only but my camera could not capture it.
The graveyard has many headstones (small triangle 1x2 yellow bricks), a perimeter fence, entry gate, and a few trees at the corners. When haunted it also has ghosts (two varieties), some pumpkins (although square), and a black cat (made from pieces from the 40222 Holiday 24-in-1 promo).

Good set. My only suggestion would be to give the bats wings more movement by using the ball/cup joint (such as the Vampire hands have) instead of the standard hinge.

For the Lego purists this is not just Legos. The actual ice is aluminum foil but it could be made from Lego plates.

Features include lighting for evening skating, snowpeople decorations along the back wall, and a small pile of ice (rear corner) as result from when the rink is smoothed.

Lego in a bubble. Nice, but beware if you are not used to these the ribbon SLIDES to allow opening the bubble for access. I thought I had to remove it and wasted an hour until I figured it out.

I like the detail and colorful aspect of this set. Caboose is a nice touch. Rotating tree and train is cute but wish the tree would anchor more securely, I modified mine so it does with a tiny bit more height above the train below.
Several reviews complain about the way optional power functions install. I understand their views. I solve this on mine by creating another train car (from Cargo Train set) with the power functions on that and hidden by other decorations. In this way I can get the motion, keep the original appearance, and add some other content.
