Below are some pictures of people and events in my life. I have given each a brief description (if possible). If any of my family or friends can help me fill in names or places it would be greatly appreciated. You may click on the images to obtain the full size image opened in a new window. Enjoy!
Our second house in Colorado. Lived here during the end of Junior High until a few years
after High School. Ran my own business out of this place for awhile.
This was our second camper (not counting the pickup truck with the shell). This one
provided more room than the VW Campmobile, but (as mom found out one day) you do NOT
want to take these things on very narrow scenic roads at the top of mountains!
That weird looking thing (not the person) below the map was one of two bird puppets we
had. If memory serves me right we had a yellow one and an orange one. OK it IS rather
strange, but the madness fits the family.
This is me with one of my rabbits. For awhile I had a rabbit hutch and a few rabbits as
pets. All things considered a dog is a better companion, but I enjoyed the rabbits for
the fact that I kind of liked rabbits.
This is a picture of the rabbit without the human holding it (the way rabbits want to be).
We never taught the rabbit any tricks. Do you know why not? Because, "silly rabbit,
TRIX are for kids!" (Boo, hiss, pathetic commercial joke!!!)
With my grandmother in the foreground, my brother shows off the casts covering his two
broken wrists. This is what happens when you jump off bleachers without considering
there is such a thing as gravity! He did this, but .....
.... they still let him graduate High School in spite of that incident! This is my
brother at our house on that special day. Shhhhh.... do not tell him there is a
Bengal Tiger sneaking up behind him. (grin)
My father got to attend my brothers graduation. Dad was very proud of us kids and very
happy to be able to attend this event.
That High School just let anybody graduate! Here I am with cap and gown.
Great Grandma (87 on 9/23/1962), Bobby, Terry, Grandma. Taken at the house in
Little Silver Lake, Antioch.
Grandma and Jet (Bob). Taken 2/27/1961, he was just over a year old.
A park near Reno Nevada was the backdrop for this picture of me with our dogs:
skipper, patches, and tiger.
?, Aunt Bev, Jim Hybl, ?, Uncle Tom, ?
We loved outdoor activity and trips. Here we were with one of the pastors (and his wife)
from the church. I believe this is in or around Royal Gorge park near Canon City,
Colorado.
We enjoyed horseback riding. Here is Marlene (I believe) on a horse ready for action.
Cue up the theme to Gunsmoke and lets go ride. (grin)
Oh dear. I mean, oh deer. The deer would not let us ride them but they were eager for
food handout opportunities. The park service often dumped food for the deer which in
effect made the deer not so afraid of people like real wild deer would be.
Us lazy humans try to ride anything. (grin) Go-carts were another favorite adventure.
These four pictures were all from the same day I think.
During one vacation to California we got to see a scene being taped for one of my favorite
TV shows "Crazy Like A Fox". Ran across the taping by accident, but I am very
happy we did. Pictured are characters; Josh, Harry, ?, and Harrison. (Remind me to put
in the actors names when I research them).
We also got to visit the private beach called "Paradise Cove" in Malibu. Those
of you familiar with the TV show "Rockford Files" will recognize the background
here as the place where Jim parked his trailer.
We really got lucky during this trip. Along the Pacific Coast Highway we ran across
another scene filming. This was a "dummy drop" (using a crane, drop the
dummy into the ocean) for the movie "The House" (which I never saw).
We used to go to a place in Colorado that had a windmill and water tank to produce a
water supply for the cattle. We would fill up a bunch of plastic jugs of this fresh
water (before it hit the tank). It was not uncommon to have cows nearby while doing
this or have to wait for other people to finish their collections.
We would take the dogs places we went to and the spot with the windmill had rocks to
investigate. I remember a small cave there. The dogs would run and we would play
"hide and seek" or something. Here are the dogs, with Patches on the right.
A shot of two people and some of the massive Grand Canyon in Arizona. The people are
not centered in the shot because if they moved a few steps to their right....well it
would not have been pretty. (grin)
Pictured here are the mules (the four legged things not the two legged things, grin) that
would take you to the canyon floor if you did not want to walk the trail. They gave the
mules interesting names for the trip up/down the trails with the steep drop-offs. There
was "Jumper" and "Tripper" just to name a few. (grin)
Here is my mom at a driving range. We usually did mini-puttputt, but it is good to
get a chance to really whack a ball to get some frustrations out! (grin)
One of the cats we had in the 1990s. Soon moving to the Pets Page.
Me without my chocolate milk (grin). Really this will be moved to a new page with
zoo related pictures when I get that created.
I believe this is Barb from the LA Nazarene Church. The man to the right might be
Jack Faus but I am not sure. The lady between them (in the kitchen) might be Mrs
Hightower (Barbs mother) but again I am not sure.
I believe this was where all of the mothers from the congregation came up on stage to
be honored during a Mothers Day service.
Here I am with the sock puppet (Charlie the Leopard). I used to do some puppet shows.
The story pictured was "David and Goliath". Somewhere I think I have the
newspaper article done about me and the puppet shows.
I can not place the person or event
Bob, mom, and me at (unknown location)
Me, mom, and Bob at (unknown location)
Person (?) holding a big fish and young Terry at the resort.
Group 2, possibly a church event as the van says "Northwest Nazarene" on it.
John and Dolly Power?. If so, this was taken at the reservoir near their home in
New Mexico.
John and Dolly Power, probably at their home in New Mexico.
Unknown person?407 somewhere and last name with an "A"
These are displayed in groups with each group coming from the same package. Any clues I have will be listed with the group or individual picture. Full size images are available by clicking the image.
